After discovering the guitar with Jean-Claude Raucoules at the Perpignan Guitar Academy, he studied at the École Normale de Musique de Paris where he obtained a Diplôme d'exécution (Performance Diploma). Captivated by the charm of Emilio Pujol's guitar playing, he became a student of Maestro Alberto Ponce at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) of La Courneuve, where he was awarded a Premier Prix (First Prize).
Since 1983, he has been the founder of the Ariège Music Courses (Stages de musique en Ariège). Passionate about pedagogy, he is the author of a guitar method, numerous arrangements for ensemble music, and a book on pedagogy. A founding member of the Copla Guitar Ensemble, Arnaud Sans, who holds the Diplôme d'État (State Diploma) as well as the Certificat d'Aptitude (Certificate of Aptitude) for guitar teachers, teaches at the Cabriès Music Conservatory and serves as co-Artistic Director of the Lambesc International Guitar Festival.
